Join us for an interactive scavenger hunt at the Ashby-Hodge Gallery of American Art, where you'll explore stunning paintings and uncover hidden details for a chance to win exciting prizes, including original artworks. The grand prize? A $1,000 CMU scholarship will be awarded to the sharpest eye in the gallery!

HISTORY MUSEUM SCAVENGER HUNT

LOCATION: T. BERRY 2ND FLOOR

Visit the History Museum for a Scavenger Hunt! At the end of the week, one completed form will be drawn to select one winner of a $1,000 scholarship to Central Methodist University! The Museum is open 2:00-4:30 PM.

Have you ever wondered about how a church service comes together? Who decides the music, the theme, the everything? How do you make a service?

Pastor Jewell will help students create a worship service they would love to attend. They will also think about church as theater and the role of a stage manager, director or playwright as it relates to church.

CURRENT ISSUES AND POLITICS: ENGAGING JESUS’ WAY

LOCATION: STEDMAN 307

This elective will discuss how young Christians can understand current issues and engage in political advocacy. Led by a former state senator, circuit judge and lifelong United Methodist, the discussion will include the importance of practicing biblical values such as patience, kindness, respect and truth.

NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD- BLEEDING CONTROL BASICS

LOCATION: THOGMORTON 203

This session is a registered course of Stop the Bleed with specific, prescribed content to help people present during an emergency be empowered to step in, before professional emergency/healthcare personnel have arrived, and help save a life when an injury has resulted in bleeding.

Take a tour of the stained glass windows in Linn Memorial United Methodist Church! We will explore all the various Christian symbols and what they mean historically and spiritually.

STAYIN’ ALIVE: AED USE AND SAFETY

LOCATION: THOGMORTON 203

This session will explain and explore the when, where, and how to properly determine the need for, locate, and use an Automatic External Defibrillator. This is NOT a cardio-pulmonary resuscitation course, but chest compressions will be discussed.
